CAVO VENTUS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Cavos Ventos Villa is a perfect wedding venue. Overlooking the caldera you have some of the most incredible views of Santorini looking up toward the famous village of Oia. Cavo Ventus is a wonderful setting for dramatic wedding photography.

Hayley & Shaun have a remarkable story which has lead them to this day. You can read and see photos from their pre wedding photo shoot here. They are both an inspiration and show true love, commitment and bravery in what they both gone through. The support Hayley has given to Shaun over the last two years shows what true love is and they make the perfect Husband and Wife.

Surrounded by their family and close friends the ceremony was conducted on the roof terrace overlooking the caldera. Beautiful floras enchanced the aisle leading to the floral archway centre piece. Hayley glided down the aisle with the gentle touch from her father. The ceremony was incredibly emotional with some very special words exchanged during their personal vows that they read out to each. Promises made that will bond them for eternity.

The celebrations and wedding breakfast were laid out and set on the terrace area and the theme of the blues just blended perfectly with the ocean and the sky. The day was put together by the wedding planner Sarah a her lovely team form Wedding Tales of Santorini.

We headed out for a quick photo shoot to capture the famous panoramic view of the caldera and the with a little help from mother nature the veil blew!! Finding secret little churches is what makes Santorini so picturesque and perched on the cliff top I found the perfect one. I knew this was the most amazing location to capture the Santorini sunset and planned to come back later in the evening.

The speeches were equally emotional as the personal vows. Words said with true meaning and with the experience of life. I can’t say it enough in what these two have gone through but they are each others rock and true love.

As sunset approached Hayley changed into a more slender dress and looked very elegant, both dresses from Laura May. Sunset was one of the best I’ve seen, the location, the light, the love and of course the couple. It was very romantic and to see the sun set on your wedding day I always find and feel that it is a moment to be cherished and never missed. Seeing the first sunset as husband and wife is a moment you will never forget.

The evening saw the traditional Greek dancing and plate smashing and the DJ played and guests partied hard into the night.

As darkness fell the candles flickered and the soft warm glow of Oia twinkled in the distance. Memories were made here that will be held in the hearts of everyone who celebrated with Hayley & Shaun. They were not only celebrating their wedding but also life….
